環 — Our Story

The name

TAMAKI (環) is an old Japanese word for a ring — a circle with no beginning and no end. Two lives meet in Japan and become one unbroken circle. That is the moment we photograph.

We also like what the circle says about how we work: your journey starts with a message, becomes a day you will never forget, and returns home with you as photographs and film — one continuous line, handled by one team.

Who we are

TAMAKI is operated by CJC Inc., a Tokyo wedding-film production company with more than 4,000 wedding films produced for couples across Japan. Pre-wedding photography is our newest chapter, coordinated by CJC with a selected creative team and the production standards developed through that work.

We work with a carefully selected creative and production team across Japan. The team is matched to your date, location and visual direction, while TAMAKI remains your single point of contact from planning through delivery.

• Permits, properly. We shoot with permission — shrines, parks and gardens — so your day is calm and welcome everywhere.
• Honesty over hype. If Mt. Fuji is unlikely to show that week, we will tell you — and plan for it.
